Concrete block walls take a beating over time. Moss, algae, and general grime work their way into the surface and make even a solid, well-built wall look worn out and neglected. It's one of those things that sneaks up on you - one day it just looks dull, and the next it's noticeably dark and dirty.

That's exactly what we were dealing with here. The block wall had a heavy buildup of discoloration, organic growth along the face and cap, and that familiar dark film that comes with exposure to moisture and humidity. Not a structural issue - just years of surface buildup that needed to come off.

Pressure washing is the right call for this kind of work. Done correctly, it pulls the grime and biological growth out of the textured surface without damaging the block. The difference between a rushed job and a thorough one shows up fast - streaking, missed spots, and uneven coverage are all signs that the work was done in a hurry. We take our time and work the wall evenly so the result is consistent across the whole surface.

The finished wall is a completely different look. The natural color of the block comes back, the cap cleans up sharp, and the whole front of the property just feels more put-together. It's one of those small details that has a big impact on how a home reads from the street. Clean walls signal that a property is cared for - and that matters whether you're staying put or thinking about selling.
